Frequently asked questions

Do I need to make a booking?

Yes, walk in space sometimes happens on a Thursday or a Friday during the day, But evenings, weekends and school holidays, please make a booking here

Can I cancel or change my booking?

No worries, just give us at least 24 hours notice by email.

How much is it?

There's a studio fee of £4 per head plus whatever pottery you choose from the shelves, this ranges from £8 to £45ish

Are you child friendly?

YES! Absolutely. Everyone is welcome, BYO evening sessions are adult only, daytime come on over and bring the whole fam.

Is my pottery ready for collection?

It's fired and ready a week after your visit. We won't text you, or email you, or call you, or give you a ticket to lose. Nice and easy.

How long will you keep my pots for?

Six weeks, you can collect any time during our opening hours. You don't need to let us know you're coming, just head over.

If we don’t live nearby, can you post our pots?

Yes, we can arrange for P&P on the day of your visit at £5 per piece, although we can't guarantee it will arrive in one piece we will do our best to package them safely. Pick up in person is always better.

Is the space accessible?

Not as much as we would like, unfortunately. It's an wonky Victorian building, the loo is down several steep stairs in the basement. There are steps where we wish they weren't, seating is bench style (think Wagamama). Everyone is welcome, we will do what we can to make a visit easier so if you have any specific questions or would like any more details or photos please just give us a shout.

Can I put my painted pots in the microwave or dishwasher?

Although nothing terrible will happen they don't like extremes of temperature, or being left standing in water so dishwasher and microwave will shortern their lifespan. Give them a hand rinse, that will keep them happier.

If I am just watching do I need to book myself in?

Yes, please include yourself even if you're only supervising, so we can make sure we have room for everyone.

Can I bring my dog with me?

We love dogs, we understand not everyone feels the same for various reasons, so please leave your furry friends at home.

Can my children come to the evening sessions?

Children are more than welcome during the day, the 7pm evening sessions are BYO and 16+ please. (Unless you've got a tiny baby that will only sleep on you? No worries, bring that little squish with you in a sling.)

Have you got parking?

No parking on site, plenty of free on street parking in the roads nearby.
